Q: Where do you get the player ratings from?
A: Rosters are collected from ASA and USSSA and cobbled together to determine a player's rating.
Q: I've never played B in my life. How can I be B rated?
A: You did well at State, Nationals, or Worlds and was bumped to B. And while we are being honest you knew that you were and have been ducking playing where you belong.
Q: I've never played ASA. How can I be B rated?
A: They don't pitch overhand in ASA, I think you will be just fine.
Q: Are you going to drop my rating? I want to play with my friends in D and drink beer.
A: All D rated teams can carry up to, but not exceed 3 C rated players. You can be one of the C rated players.
Q: How can I appeal my rating?
A: For ASA, go to ASA's Player Database, find your record in the database, and click "Appeal".
Q: If my team does well in one of your tournaments or at your Finals, are you going to move us up a class?
A: We are not going to do that. That is up to the sanctioning bodies of softball.
Q: What softballs does the North Star Series use?
A: That is completely up to the tournament directors. We have secured an official softball for the tournament directors to consider using which is a Trump .52 cor/275 lbs. compression ball.
Q: How can we pick up players and add them to our roster?
A: Email me at dan@northstarseries.com with the player's information.
Q: How come you haven't added our points in from the tournament we played in last week?
A: It takes some time for the tournament director to get the results to me and for me to get them entered into the database. Trust me, when we are seeding Finals based on points standings, we'll have everything updated.
Q: Can my tournament be in the North Star Series?
A: Email me at dan@northstarseries.com and we'll discuss it.
Q: I submitted our roster and the player rating information is missing?
A: It takes a little time to look up player histories. We'll get it added soon.
